Orefinders Commences Environmental Base Line Study at Mirado Gold Project, Kirkland Lake, Ontario

Orefinders Resources Inc. (TSX.V: ORX) is pleased to announce that Story Environmental Inc. (“SEI”) from Haileybury, Ontario has been awarded the contract to commence Environmental Base Line studies at Orefinders 100% owned Mirado gold project. The contracted services will include water sampling and analysis, the installation of groundwater monitoring wells, the installation of a weather station and air samplers for the collection of weather and air quality data, a hydrology program, benthic and sediment sampling and characterization as well as an archeological study.

SEI has experience in the region and most recently completed the Environmental Baseline Studies, reporting, and Closure Plan preparation for the Queenston Mining (now Osisko Mining Limited) Upper Beaver site in Dobie, Ontario. SEI is also assisting several mining companies in the Kirkland Lake area with Progressive Rehabilitation Programs. They are currently working with Agnico Eagle Mines to update Environmental Baseline Studies and Closure Plans for Agnico Eagle’s properties located in the historic Cobalt mining camp.

Bill Yeomans, P. Geo., President of Orefinders, states “The awarding of the Environmental Base Line study to SEI is in keeping with Orefinders’ policy of hiring contractors and professionals currently established in the Kirkland Lake region. Commencement of the Environmental Base Line study at the advanced Mirado project will serve to expedite the development process. The information collected over the next two years will provide the context for planning future mineral development on the property. These studies also provide the opportunity for public input as part of the evaluation process. ”

SRK Consulting (Canada) is currently in the process of preparing a preliminary NI-43-101 compliant resource estimate at Mirado, with field exploration work continuing at the historic Mirado mine site as well as on the 3,000 acres of land held by Orefinders surrounding the Mirado patented claims.

On behalf of the Board of Directors
